Hi World of Deviant Art

The Deviant Art Webdesign Group is a group for those of us, who understands to appreciate the webdesign here on DA.

The purpose with this group is to gather all the most talented and passionated webdesigners, but also those who just loves to look, share and give feedback on other people's art.

We will share opinions on the latest webdesign trends, share useful and relevant resources, and simply have a nice time!

On behalf of the group, and its staff - I can say that I am looking forward to see you all in here.

If you too are a fan of all the amazing Webdesigners here on Deviant Art - Don't hesitate to join.

Today (05-12-2009) we have stated some ground rules:

:bulletgreen: The group is now open for anyone to join, but only as "Member"

:bulletgreen: In order to contribute with designs to the gallery, get featured and invite others - you would have to apply for becoming a "Contributor"

:bulletgreen: Not everyone will be accepted as a Contributor, as we want to ensure that anyone who chooses to follow this group, will only receieve quality webdesign deviations. At the moment not many contributors are let through.

:bulletgreen: If you become a contributor, please do not just go overboard with the submissions. Submit the pieces you like the most from your gallery; and I suppose I do not have to say it needs to be "Webdesign"-related.

Things to keep in mind!

Every now and then we see same questions being asked and same rules being broken. Here's a few to get everyone on the same page.

1)How to Become a Contributor
If you are currently a member and wish to become a contributor then you have to:
a) Leave the group as a member.
b) Re-apply to join our group as a contributor.

Consequently, we will review your portfolio and if you fit our group's standards you will be accepted. Otherwise, you are welcome to join back as a member and try again at a later date.

2)Pick the Right Category
Sometimes the galleries in groups are buggy but that is no reason to submit your works to inappropriate categories. Always try to submit your work to the appropriate category and if it fails, notify us.

3)Don't Nominate Yourself
This one is more of an ethical, unspoken rule among artists. Don't nominate your own work for Features. We see this all the time.

Side Note
If you are trying to join as a contributor, at least make sure that you are a web designer. We constantly have some great artists applying to become a contributor but this is a web design and development group. You have to be one of those to become a contributor. Otherwise, you are always welcome to join as a regular member.

This is amazing!

The new Group Avatar is looking great, and we have received a lot of pageviews lately. Great designs are added to the gallery all the time. It's great to see.

I would like to ask you all contributors if it is possible to submit my design in this group if its at high enough level
